Manifest Maker setup creates the following start menu items:
The first level sub-menu contains icons to start Manifest Maker and to start Manifest Maker manifest resources viewer.
The Visual Studio Integration
sub-item contains two icons for adding and removing
Manifest Maker folder to the Visual Studio 2005/2008 Options / Projects and Solution /
VC++ Directories
list. These icons do not apply to Visual Studio 2010.
This is a per-user change that only applies to the current Visual Studio configuration. If you save and load different Visual Studio configurations (for example using menu Tools / Import and Export Settings) this change will only persists in the currently selected configuration. It is safe to run these options multiple times because they check if the path is already added or removed and do not make any changes if no changes are necessary.
These icons are shortcuts to a VBS script which uses Visual Studio DTE COM interface to make these changes. You can use these scripts in your own custom Manifest Maker Visual Studio Integration configuration tasks.
